An early 2000s navigation system seems like it'd be painful to use.

Also, dem graphics.

I suppose it actually doesn't look too bad to use, I'd have to try it out before saying it isn't total shit though.

Anyone have any experience with this unit?

This unit? No. My dad did have a 2001 MDX with nav. It was fine. At the time it was mindblowing.

My brother still has the car, and when I visited him in LA we actually used it. It's useable, but it's pretty terrible.

I think we only updated it once. It's DVD based and the DVD is under the passenger seat, it's not a big deal to update, just expensive

Yes, the Tahoe was the only one.

And yes, I think Last Gen S-Class was the first with Nav. Its just starting to pass to affordable vehicles, such as the Versa Note and stuff.

My mom had an '04 Trailblazer with that nav system.

It was not a touchscreen, and it sucked something aweful. It was painful to program. I'm going to try and forget it existed.
